You may choose to coordinate your project yourself offering more control over the project - or, for your convenience, we can coordinate your renovation project for you. This may be quoted separately from our carpentry services and include coordination of the following:

Cottage Reno
January 2016, we completely removed the existing interior features of this cozy rural retreat. The project began with reframing the interior and included also installation of new:
- Drywall
- Complete Kitchen
- Complete Bathroom
- Steel Roof
- Doors
- Flooring
- Barn Board Wall Covering
- Some Windows
- Some Siding
We also assisted in organizing and managing other trades such as plumbing, electrical, wood stove specialist, and counter specialist.
It was an honour to create such a creatively unique space and we are grateful to have assisted so much in the creation of the Moonshadow Cabin Retreat Centre of Parry Sound.
Floor Refinishing
Conor McCarthy, founder of Cottage Woodworks, has roots in Lindsay, Ontario 150 years deep. This heritage is one reason why we were honoured to be chosen to refinish the softwood floors and kneelers at Saint Mary's Church, Lindsay, Ontario in 2010-2011.
Since then, we have been building a reputation in Lindsay for better refinishing of hardwood strip flooring.
We take great care when embarking on each heritage project, completing research of the time era of the structure and various techniques that would produce the best results with various century home renovation challenges.
Conor has perfected special techniques to produce smooth, glossy finishes for even century strip flooring and blending discoloured patches to maintain original flooring. We are also cognisant of dust taking measures to minimize this as much as possible.

Cottage Bathroom
This project was a 10’x12’ bathroom added to a cottage master bedroom in Buckhorn during the summer of 2020.
-The bathroom features a space divided by a pocket door with two walk in closets. This was an effective use of space for clothing storage aswell as receiving the privacy of an extra bathroom within budget and size restriction due to bedrock.

Saint Mary's Catholic Church of Lindsay approached us in 2023 with a request to build a door to match the existing woodwork of this century-old church as the original had been discarded and a replacement was needed. In our woodshop, we built this pictured door entirely in our woodshop and installed it.
