About Us

One of our first projects after founding Cottage Woodworks was restoring the hardwood floor and kneelers at St. Mary's Church in Lindsay.

Conor McCarthy is the Owner and operator of Cottage Woodworks and a licenced carpenter. His family has worshipped at Saint Mary's for generations. The restoration project there was far more than a project. It was an opportunity to preserve a place that had shaped his own family's history.

That experience continues to guide our work today.

We believe every heritage building has its own story. The marks left by generations of families, the craftsmanship of the original builders, and even the gentle wear of time all contribute to its unique character.

Our goal isn't simply to renovate old buildings. It is to preserve their history while preparing them to serve another generation.
